Nunez-Smith was one of 13 panelists named to Biden’s task force, and Connecticut Voices’ executive director Emily Byrne told Smith “Is brilliant mind and soul, and I’m deeply grateful for her service.”

She started her career as Core Faculty at Global Health Leadership Institue, Yale University, and serving since 2011. In the same organization, she served as Junior Faculty Representative, Deputy Director for Health Equity Research and Workforce Development, Director, Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health, Principal Investigator, Associate Professor, and Co-Director of Community Based Participatory Research.
In her career, she has fought against Discrimination in Health Care, Smith also the founding director of the Pozen-Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Health Equity Leadership, which is within the Yale School of Management.
