Ashley Grames is a Nurse from Salem Health, Oregon who is fired from her job after she went viral mocking Covid-19 precautions in a TikTok video.
In the TikTok video, Ashley bragged about how she ditched her mask outside of work and even let her children play, Salem Health wrote on Facebook “A nurse who had shown a cavalier disregard for the seriousness of this pandemic had been “placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.”
Who is Ashley Grames?
She served as a Nurse in Salem Health and working in the health care field for at least a decade.
In October 2010, Ashley earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and became the Registered Nurse (RN) in July 2015, her license was scheduled to expire in May 2021.
Ashley served as the oncology nurse at Salem Health, recently she uploaded a video on TikTok under the name Loveiskind05, claiming to be an oncology nurse at Salem Health in Oregon.
In the video, she said “When my co-workers find out I still travel, don’t wear a mask when I am out and let my kids have play dates,” and her video went viral on various social media.
Salem Health employees identified the nurse as Ashley Grames, reported the Salem Health Authorities, a statement from the Salme Health reads.
“Yesterday, a nurse employed with Salem Health posted a video on social media which displayed a cavalier disregard for the seriousness of this pandemic and her indifference towards physical distancing and masking outside of work,” and added “This video has prompted an outcry from concerned community members. We want to thank those of you who brought this to our attention and assure you that we are taking this very seriously. This individual does not speak for Salem Health and has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.”
Later, they concluded the statement “We also want to assure you that this one careless statement does not reflect the position of Salem Health or the hardworking and dedicated caregivers who work here. Salem Health believes we all need to do our part to protect the vulnerable and stop the rapid spread of COVID-19. This includes requiring staff, patients, and visitors to follow guidance from the CDC and others about mask-wearing and social distancing. The COVID pandemic is serious and requires a serious response. And at Salem Health we are very serious about our approach to COVID.”
One user wrote “A lot of younger kids are defending her and calling the woman who called her out a Karen. I think what they fail the realize is that she represents a business, no matter what the business is. She’s in uniform, at her place of work filming a tiktok. Add onto that the fact that she’s saying she doesn’t take precautions to protect her patients. If she gets fired, she fired herself.”
