Who is STPeach?
STPeach, aka Lisa Vannatta, is a California-based video game streamer, fitness YouTuber, and former dental assistant. On October 9, 2015, STPeach began streaming games on Twitch. Additionally, she broadcasts herself playing and commentating on several online video games such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and League of Legends.
In an interview with NBC News, Vannatta discussed how tough it is to be a woman who does not just play games on Twitch. Lisa Vannatta was targeted in a swatting attack while streaming from her home in Bankview, Calgary, on December 22, 2017. Tyler Raj Barriss of Los Angeles, California, was wanted by Calgary Police in January 2018 on charges related to the swatting.
Lisa Vannatta stated she was “terrified” during the swatting event during a live webcast from the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show. STPeach went public in October 2019 and faced jacknbaking, a Twitch member who had allegedly made death threats and harassed her online. She posted screenshots of the chats to Imgur and published them.
STPeach was cited in a lawsuit against Twitch in June 2020. A California Twitch user, Erik Estavillo, filed a civil lawsuit against Twitch, claiming $25 million in damages for exposing him to “overly suggestive and sexual content from numerous female streams” while using the platform. Peach has been banned from Twitch on several occasions over the years, the most recent being in March 2022, purportedly because of a costume she was wearing on air. During that webcast, she also raised approximately $10,000 for charity.
Furthermore, Twitch was sued in 2020 for a sum of roughly $25 million due to “suggestive broadcasters,” with the claimant citing STPeach, among others, as a source of his grievances. On April 11, she was banned for the second time. However, the cause for the restriction has yet to be revealed. STPeach was scheduled to appear on OTK’s ‘Schooled’ with Clix, Neeko, WillNeff, and others, on April 11, so there’s likely to be some lively debate among the various streamers. The cause for STPeach’s suspension has yet to be revealed, as has the length of the suspension. It remains to be seen if Peach herself exposes the cause – if she even knows herself.
