Mandy Shanahan aka Amanda O’Donnell is popularly known as the wife of Kyle Shanahan who is an American football coach who is the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL).

He will lead the San Francisco 49ers as they take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida for Super Bowl LIV on Sunday, February 2. Earlier, he served as the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons, whose offense led the league in points scored in 2016 and helped the team reach Super Bowl LI.

Furthermore, he has been the offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans, Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns. Later, on February 6, 2017, the 49ers hired Shanahan as their head coach, replacing Chip Kelly. Then, in the third season with the team, Shanahan led the 49ers to Super Bowl LIV. He is the son of former NFL head coach Mike Shanahan.

Her mother Nancy O’Donnell passed away after suffering from cancer. Nancy used to teach eighth-grade students and had a stage 4 gallbladder cancer. However, she lost her life after her diagnosis on January 31, 2002, at the age of 57.

During that time Kyle was there in support of Mandy. Later, in an interview with Sfchronicle, she said “He completely stunned me,” and added “Kyle, hands down, got me through that. After going through that with him, I couldn’t imagine being with anyone else. What was so alarming to me, being that young and going through something that devastating, I realized it’s not going to be the last sad thing that I go through.”

“I never planned on getting married at a young age,” Shanahan said. “But then I understood ‘OK, you don’t necessarily get to pick when you get married. You get married when you find the right person.’ And I found her. So I changed my plans.”
