Brent Reker Career

He was the national president of the Finks bikie gang and he was also the sergeant-at-arms of the Rock Machine gang in 2010, in Western Australia. In an interview in 2018, Reker told Daily Mail Australia: ‘Bikie clubs are the last stand for human rights – in Australia, no one is allowed to do anything anymore.

‘We – just like everyone else – just want to hang out with our mates and go for a drink on Friday night without being told we can’t.’ Reker admitted ‘the way he looks’ often caught the attention of police.

Why Brent Reker was Arrested?

The heavily-tattooed 35-year-old was on remand facing charges over an alleged bashing which was described as a revenge attack over the release of naked photos of a woman online. It is alleged that he stormed home in Melbourne’s southeast on September 9, 2018, with three other Finks members. News.Com.Au reports.

Later, the publication also reported that the Police allege they bashed a man with a baseball bat and tire lever before threatening to kill his partner and children if they called the police. Victorian chapter vice-president Corey Wanakore-Moeke, 33, allegedly took part in the home invasion after the pair were enlisted by another co-accused, Tara Egglestone.

It is alleged Ms. Egglestone, 29, reached out to Reker in a bid for retaliation after naked photos of her were posted online.

Reker was sentenced to three years behind bars in Perth in February 2012 for demanding property through threats. In January 2017, he was charged with the possession of methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply.

Earlier, in 2018 his Frankston home was peppered with bullets, while his wife and two-week-old baby son were inside. Furthermore, his car was also fire-bombed and that attack has sparked fears of a fresh bikie war in Melbourne, and focused attention on Reker — whose role as the sergeant-at-arms of the Rock Machine gang in WA coincided with similar tensions on the streets of Perth at the start of this decade.
