Yash Family
He had been bought up in Hassan district of Karnataka. His is from middle family background, as his father was a BMTC bus driver and mother Pushpa is a housewife. Yash has a younger sister whose name is Nandhini.
He had completed his school from Mahajan High School in Mysore. During his school days, he used to actively participate in Dramas, sports, and other co-curricular activities. Later after his studies, Yash decided to join Benaka DRA Troupe as he wanted to be an actor. He grew up watching movies of Dr. Rajkumar, Shankarnag, and Vishnuvardhan.

He did not enter the film industry directly, as he had to go through many struggles in the initial stages. He initially acted in a Kannada serial called, Nanda Gokulam that was aired in ETV Kannada channel and later in Malebillu, Preeti Illada Mele. With his outstanding performance in the serials and his handsome look, he got an opportunity to act in a Kannada movie called Jambada Hudugi.

Later in 2007, he got his first break from the movie Mogginaanasu that became a big hit. Later from the movie Rocky that was released in 2008, he started appearing in lead roles. With his acting performance, he was able to attract the audience towards the theatre. Eventually, the other movies that he acted were in Kallara Sante, Gokulam, Modalasala in 2010.
His movie Kiraataka movie became a commercial hit in Karnataka and he also gained more popularity. His movie Googly that was released in 2013 became the biggest hit of the Kannada film industry in the year. His other movies include Gajakesari, Mr. & Ms. Ramachari, Masterpiece, Santu Straightforward are some of the hit movies given by Yash.
His upcoming movie KGF which is set to be released on Dec 21, 2018, is all set to break all previous records of Kannada Film and is also expected to be the milestone in the Indian film.
Apart from being an actor, he is also involved in many social service activities with his Yashomarga plan, he is providing drinking water to more than 200 villages in Karnataka.
