She leaves behind so many loved ones, family and friends who care so much for her. Katy leaves behind two young sons, who will struggle to understand this, like many of us. Katy was young and strong and full of life and love. Her family will need all the help they can with funeral and medical costs. Any help at all is so appreciated. I know that Katy would have been happier than EVER knowing how much her friends have helped her.”

Her death was confirmed by Branson Fight Club Head Coach JT Tilley on Facebook, he wrote “The fight is over. You never stopped fighting and we never gave up on you. Just wasn’t in the cards.

…I’ve always been so proud of you Kate. We did it. I was honored to be able to live you your dream with you. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will miss you more than the world will ever know. — feeling destroyed.”

On the final day of her death, Tilley posted a Photo of Katy and captioned with “One last fight Kate.
You can do this.”

Katy Collins Career

Collins compiled a 7-5 record as a professional mixed martial artist. She turned pro in 2015 and went on to fight for organizations such as Bellator and LFA. She had a 2-1 record in Bellator, with wins over Bruna Vargas and Michelle Royer and a loss to Emily Ducote. She most recently competed in LFA. Before turning pro, she competed as an amateur from 2011 to 2014.

she lost her last fight in June 2018 to Jaimelene Nievera at the Legacy Fighting Alliance event in Branson, Missouri. That loss proceeded two others, on March 2018 and September 2017 respectively.
