Moreover, he was not the only one who lost his life Jud’s wife and three others lost their lives in the brutal accident. According to the report, the intoxicated woman was driving on the wrong way on a San Francisco highway and her car crashed the cab in which Jud and wife were traveling.
Police reported that Jud was traveling on a Cab and they were moving in the northbound lanes of Highway 101. After the accident, all lanes on northbound U.S. 101 were closed for more than 7 hours straight and it is reported that 34-year-old Emilie Ross of Hillsborough was behind the wheel and was driving Volkswagen Cabrio.
However, his death was confirmed by the Envestnet, Inc. and issued the following statement: “It is with immeasurable sadness that we share the news that Judson Bergman, our Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer, passed away today in San Francisco, CA in an automobile accident. Mr. Bergman’s wife, Mary Miller, also sadly perished in this tragedy. On behalf of our Board of Directors, management team and employees, we extend our deepest sympathies to Jud and Mary’s family. As Envestnet’s founder, Jud was a remarkable leader whose vision, brilliance and drive built the foundation for Envestnet’s success.”
Later, Police also reported that Jud and his wife were was on the route to the airport. Four people lost their lives along with Jud and his wife Mary Miller-Bergman and the cab driver of Jud named Berkant Ramadan Ahmed and the Volkswagen driver named Emilie Ross.
In 1999, he founded the Envestnet and curently was chairman and CEO. Earlier, Jud served as the managing director for mutual funds at Nuveen Investments and he served there for more than 17 years.
Primarily, Jud’s goal was to create Desktop software to help Independent Investment advisers run a wealth Management Practice. Recently, his company Envestnet made $812 million last year and in 2010 it went public and there were over 3,500 enterprise clients and 96,000 advisers.
