Following short film ventures, such as 2012’s How Dave and Emma Got Pregnant, 2013’s Leaving Home, and 2015’s frantic Panic!, the gifted director has gone from strength to strength, leveraging an ability to interweave an approachable, friendly animation style with extremely odd events.
Joost has been concentrating his efforts over the last year on the Cartoon-Box series, a project that distils his ability for comic, gag-driven visual concepts into a collection of independent micro-shorts. He began exploring animation when he was a teenager. He started by making flipbooks, and then he moved on to developing animations in Microsoft Paint.
