How Rich is Jerrod Carmichael?

Rothaniel Jerrod Carmichael was born on April 7, 1987, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Carmichael was up in poverty, something he frequently discusses in his stand-up routines. He conducted a morning news show on his primary school’s local access channel while he was in fifth grade. George Carlin, Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor, and Sinbad were among his early comic influences.

Despite never having attempted stand-up comedy before, Carmichael traveled to Los Angeles at the age of 20 to follow his goal. After working his way up through the clubs, he performed at 2011 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal in the “New Faces” segment. He also appeared on the television show The Goodwin Games.

His breakthrough performance came in the film Neighbors (2014). Love at the Store, Carmichael’s debut HBO stand-up comedy special, was directed by Spike Lee and shot at The Comedy Store. Bo Burnham directed his second film, 8 (2017), which was shot in the Grand Lodge Room of New York’s Masonic Hall. The semi-biographical NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show (2015–2017) was co-created, co-wrote, produced, and starred Carmichael. It was well-received and noted for its out-of-the-box thinking on topics like the Black Lives Matter movement, LGBT concerns, gun rights, politics, and the reality of being black in America.

Later, Carmichael was an executive producer on the Fox sitcom Rel, which premiered in May 2018 and was canceled after one season. Later that year, Quentin Tarantino hired him to co-write a film based on the Django/Zorro crossover comic book series. On the Count of Three was directed by Carmichael, who also starred in it (2021). Burnham was also the director of his third special, Rothaniel (2022).

The estimated Net Worth of Jerrod Carmichael is between $1 Million to $2 Million USD.
