Daniel Lee Martin was 54 years old musician and former reality show host. He was found dead in his Florida home and he was accused of child sex crimes. Martin’s body was found by officers when they arrived at his property to serve multiple arrest warrants that had been issued out of Tennessee.

Martin had threatened to harm himself prior to his death on Friday. “Martin did not respond to attempts to make contact with him,” the sheriff’s statement continues. “The PSO SWAT team was called in to assist, as Martin previously made threats of harm against himself and others.”

Officers arrived at his home in Pasco County on Friday to give him several warrants. They found his dead body after he appeared to have shot himself. Police had previously made several attempts to contact the singer, but he failed to respond. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was brought in as he had previously made threats to harm himself and others.

The warrants out of Tennessee included three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, three counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of committing an aggravated sexual battery, and one count of solicitation of a minor to commit rape of a child.

Furthermore, he was also accused of assaulting three children under the age of 13 between 2014 and 2018, the Tampa newspaper reported. The musician turned himself in and was scheduled for trial next month.

Martin was arrested January 27th after the alleged victim, a child, told cops Martin exposed himself to them while the 2 were sitting on a sofa. Cops say the victim claimed Martin fondled himself and shared pornographic images. Cops went on to say there were numerous incidents where the victim spent the night at Martin’s home, TMZ reported.

Later, he was released on $15,000 bail hours after his arrest. Earlier, in 2018, he was indicted by a grand jury on charges of sexual abuse involving a minor, the Columbia Daily Herald newspaper of Tennessee reported at the time. Then, he was charged with three counts of soliciting the sexual exploitation of a minor, three counts of aggravated sexual battery, three counts of soliciting to commit aggravated sexual battery, two counts of indecent exposure and solicitation to commit the rape of a child.

Martin was known for releasing the 2003 album All That I Am, followed by On My Way to You in 2007. He has also co-hosted TV shows including Brotherhood Outdoors on Sportsman Channel. He and his ex-wife also Julie McQueen appeared in the Carbon TV show Til Death Do Us Part.

Martin began his country music career in 1997 and opened for stars like Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels and Vince Gill.

He was married to Julie Mcqueen in 2013 and they starred in the CarbonTV show, Til Death Do Us Part. Martin and McQueen loved outdoor adventures, as she was a licensed pilot, and she was a huge supporter of his country music career.
