After Chandra tested positive for COVID-19 prompting the driver to also find out his health status. On July 4th, Jimmie posted a video on Twitter and provided his fans with an update on the health of his family.

Furthermore, in the video, Jimmie said they are concerned about the health of their daughters, Genevieve (9) and Lydia (6). Both daughters tested negative for the virus, but the driver admitted the couple can “see the fear in their eyes.”

Earlier, in April Jimmie noted on social media that the family is quarantining in their Colorado home but is sure to be watching the Brickyard 400 from afar. In the Instagram post, he wrote “Thank you to my fans, competitors, @teamhendrick, @allyracing, and @nascar for all the love on 4/8 #JJDay. What an incredible honor. My family and I stayed entertained all day while quarantined at home. I would like to acknowledge everyone who helped build the legacy of the 48, we did it together. #DoItRight #Grateful.”

Currently, Jimmie competes full-time in the series, driving the No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for Hendrick Motorsports.
